About Us
Our story
Formerly Little Playhouse, Caffi Chwarae has been under new management since October 2026, with a fresh vision for this much-loved family space. Our name means “Play Café” in Welsh and reflects exactly what we want to create: a warm, welcoming place where children can explore, imagine and play, while grown-ups enjoy good coffee, lovely food and a moment to relax.
Caffi Chwarae is about bringing families together and building a space that feels thoughtful, inclusive and rooted in our local community. This is only the beginning, and we’re excited to grow it with you.
What we offer
Choose from a lovely selection of hot and cold drinks, from freshly made coffee and creamy oat matcha to seasonal smoothies. Our food menu is simple, considered and full of flavour, with generously filled handmade bagels and lighter bites for when you fancy something smaller. We also offer takeaway for those passing through and wanting to grab and go.
How to find us
You’ll find us on the corner of Ynysmeurig Road, close to Abercynon Community Primary School and just a short walk from Abercynon railway station. Pop CF45 4SU into your sat nav and look out for us on the corner.
